How to get a PA Medical Marijuana Card

  1. Register with the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

  2. Schedule a phone telehealth appointment to complete your physician certification.

  3. Once you are certified return to the Department of Health website and pay the state fee.

  4. Wait for your card to arrive in the mail.

  5. Visit the dispensary of your choice. Make sure to take your physical card with you.

 

The first step will be to register with the Pennsylvania Department of Health. It is a simple process to register for your Pennsylvania medical marijuana card.  The entire process can be completed online.  You will need a computer with internet access, your valid Pennsylvania driver’s license or state-issued ID card, an email address, and a phone number.

 

Go to medicalmarijuana.pa.gov

Click on “Apply for ID Card/Access Account”.  This will take you to the Medical Marijuana Program login page where you will be able to register for a new account.

 

 

Next click on “Adult Patient Registration” under the Patients heading. This will then take you to a registration page where you input your patient information. Be sure to type the information exactly as it appears on your driver’s license or ID card. 

 

 

After you submit your registration information you will be asked to make a username and password.  It is important to save this information in order to log on to your account to monitor the  status of your card and to make payments to the Department of Health. Once you have your MMJ ID number you can schedule your phone telehealth consult for your physician certification.
